Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

Many thanks to Stephen, Gordon & David for their contribution in the last service to mark the day of remembrance. Even though we met virtually, I hope we were able to do some justice to the day. You can still support the Poppy Appeal until this coming Wednesday by sending your donations into the church’s bank account by sending 100 CZK or more in round hundreds, making it easier for our Treasurer Andrew Kasembe to track them. Andrew, together with Diane Tvaroha, will then pass it on to the British Embassy.

Please plan to join us for worship again virtually this coming Sunday!

Sunday 15th November at 11.00 hrs. – Virtual Eucharist for the Second Sunday before Advent

Contact the chaplain for the Zoom link

As well as saying Psalm 90. 1-12 responsively, we will also hear a part of St. Paul’s exhortation in his letter to the Thessalonians concerning the end of time given in 1 Thessalonians 5. 1-11. Our Gospel reading is Matthew 25. 14-30, which recounts the Parable of the Talents.

If you wish to partake in the Holy Communion, please keep a piece of bread and a glass of wine ready. The Order of Service will be available for download on the link.. http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//order-of-service/. It will also be displayed on the screen simultaneously during the service.

If you are planning to attend the service via Zoom, please note-

In terms of ease of use – Zoom’s software is pretty simple to navigate, it can be as simple as clicking a link on a website and following the on-screen instructions. However, for smartphone and tablet users, it is far less obvious whether your device’s microphone is muted, or what to press in order to stop your every word being relayed to the rest of the congregation. You do not need to create an account to join; and if you do, you do not need to create a paid account.

Security. Please feel free to share this information person-to-person with friends and family members who might like to join us. However, to safeguard the integrity of our worship services online, we ask that you NOT post this link information on any website, social media, or any other place where it might become available to untrustworthy individuals. Additionally, for those of you who for any reason wish to switch off your camera or mute your microphone, are welcome to do that.

Fellowship. Yes. There is a virtual coffee hour after the service! Therefore, have your mug of tea or coffee ready. Note that you can always leave the connection any time by simply clicking on Leave Meeting.

Thanks to those of you who have been helping the chaplaincy financially during this difficult time. We need your contributions more than ever to continually sustain the ministry. If you are interested in discussing more about the ways in which you can donate, please get in touch with our Treasurer or follow the link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//about-us/finances/.

Usually by this time the chaplaincy council is able to finalize the programme for Christmas, but as we are facing an extraordinary time of pandemic we shall wait for the easing/lifting of restrictions by the state to be able to decide anything. If the circumstances permit, we shall be able to hold some of our events around Christmas, maintaining all measures to ensure the safety of our people and incase we are not able to hold them like every year we shall try our best to hold them virtually.
