Christenings, Confirmations and Weddings / Blessings are loving, joyous and momentous occasions. They mark key moments in our lives and those of our families, friends and loved ones, both as people and as Anglicans and Christians, and there can be few more beautiful locations to celebrate these important occasions in than at St. Clement’s, right in the centre of Prague.

Christenings and Blessings

If you are interested in organising a Christening or Blessing you can contact the Chaplain directly at chaplain@anglican.cz. If you reside outside our parish you may need to obtain written permission from your own Vicar for this to happen, but our Chaplain the Reverend Nathanial will be able to guide you through that.

Marriages

If you are interested in getting legally married in the Czech Republic and wish to include a Church ceremony at St. Clement’s, there are a few more hurdles to pass through and we recommend planning at least 6 months in advance! But don’t worry, we at St. Clement’s work together with a number of wedding planners both here in the Czech Republic and in the UK and abroad who will be able to take you through the formalities if you are looking to get married in our beautiful church as part of your unique day, so just make sure you build in plenty of time to get your special day organised!

Marrying a Czech Citizen?

If you are a foreigner marrying a Czech citizen, you may wish to visit the relevant Czech Ministry of Interior page here for information you will need.

Confirmation

If you wish to be confirmed or having your child confirmed at St. Clement’s, please be aware that Confirmation can only be carried out by a Bishop and so needs to be coordinated more carefully to coincide with one of our Bishops’ next visits. Please write to the chaplain on the matter for further information.

Please note, in line with Anglican theology, Weddings, Blessings and Christenings are not carried out during the period of Lent apart from “Laetare” or “Mothering” Sunday.
