Leeds University Chamber Choir will sing:

`Man that is born of a woman` by Henry Purcell; in place of the Benedictus

`Adoramus Te` by Claudio Monteverdi; in place of the Agnus Dei

`Rest` by Ralph Vaughan Williams; as the Communion Anthem

`Abide with me` as the Recessional Anthem

The congregation will sing:

We will hear about:

the original `Passover` in Exodus 12. 1-14. Then in 1 Corinthians 11. 23-26, how Jesus transforms the Jewish `Passover` into the Christian Holy Communion, or Eucharist. Our Gospel reading: John 13. 1-17 & 31b-35, tells of Jesus, the servant king, washing His disciples` feet; and His giving of a new `Commandment, ‘That you love one another just as I have loved you‘.

Good Friday – A Watch Hour Service 30th March, 14.00 – 15.00

Timed to mark Jesus’ Last Hour on the Cross; it is a Service of Contemplation; interspersed and aided with; readings, reflections, stories of Jesus` Passion, hymns, and prayers. A perfect preparation for the joy of Easter.
