Our Mission Statement

We believe that it is our mission is to be Salt and Light to everyone in Prague. We seek to be Christian people who are preserved by the Holy Spirit in our lives and who are full of faith that shines brightly to everyone around us.

The Lord Jesus says to his followers

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”

As a Church Community whose Mission is to be Salt and Light we commit to:

*Regularly gathering to Worship

*Discovering more of the Christian Faith

*Nurturing new believers 

*Nurturing those who are young in years

* Seek ways to apply our Faith to daily life at Home, School, University, and at Work

*Being aware of the needs of those less fortunate 

*Seeking ways to bless those who lack the blessings we enjoy

* Sharing the Faith with those who have never heard it, 

are indifferent to it, and those who have rejected it

 

When we act as Salt and Light in Prague, we show everyone the great hope that we have in Jesus and we cultivate in people an appetite for God – or at least a curiosity. They will wonder why we are different to the world and where we get our great hope. 

When they ask, we must be ready to give the answer: the Lord Jesus and the Good News that he has for those who follow him.
