Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

Do join us for worship..

Sunday 11th August at 11.00 hrs.– Sung Eucharist for the Eighth Sunday after Trinity

Luke 12. 32-40 is our Gospel reading comprised of two parables: The first, about a wedding banquet (vv. 35-38), promises blessings to the watchful and the second, about the coming of a thief (vv. 39-40), warns of judgment of those who are not ready. The supporting readings are Genesis 15. 1-6 where we have messages about the reliability and timing of God’s promises and lessons about prayer, and Hebrews 11. 1-3, 8-16 where the author teaches a deep lesson about the steadfast nature of faith. Our Preacher will be John Noonan who would be preaching for the first time after receiving his Reader PTO.

Hymns will be:- Ye holy angels bright Darwall’s 148th; Christ is made the sure foundation Westminster Abbey; The God of Abraham praise Leoni & Guide me, O thou great Redeemer Cwm Rhondda.

Cool Drinks & Refreshments will be served at the back of the church.
