Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

Hope many of you were able to enjoy your summar holidays and are back in Prague now. Do join us this coming Sunday..

Sunday 1st September at 11.00 hrs.– Sung Eucharist for the Eleventh Sunday after Trinity

Luke 14:1, 7-14, is our Gospel reading where we see the social matrix of first-century life is on display, and we hear Jesus speak into this matrix both with communal wisdom and astonishing advice. The supporting readings are Hebrews 13. 1-8, 15-16 where the writer of Hebrews rounds out his sermon with a set of ethical teachings and Psalm 112 which we will read responsively.

Hymns are:O the deep, deep love of Jesus! Ebenezer (Ton-y-Botel); O God beyond all praising Thaxted; Come down, O Love divine Down Ampney & Jesu, lover of my soul Aberystwyth

Cool Drinks & Refreshments will be served at the back of the church.

It being the first Sunday of the month, I will be off to Brno for our regular monthly worship service.
