Sunday 20thOctober at 10.00 hrs.– A Combined service with the ECCB Klimentska Congregation

Our friendship with the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (ECCB) has been very good since years. Infact, even I was introduced to St. Clement’s by a priest of the ECCB Church when we shifted to Prague. To take this friendship further, earlier this year ECCB Klimentska’s (our host congregation) pastor Rev’d David Balcar proposed starting an annual combined service of the two congregations. We decided that this year we will use their liturgy and I will preach and the next year it will be vice versa. I am sure it will be a wonderful experience for many of us, so do not forget to join. Please do make sure to be there before 10.00 am as the service is scheduled to start an hour early than we usually hold our service.

Matthew 16. 13-18 is our Gospel reading where Peter confesses Jesus as the Christ. The supporting readings are Zephaniah 3. 9-10, 16-20in which the prophet writes about the pleasure of God in the good of God’s people and Ephesians 4. 1-6, 11-16 where St. Paul talks about the unity in the body of Christ.

The Hymns are below and majority of them are in our Anglican Hymnal and you can sing them in Czech or English, whichever you prefer.

All people that on Earth do dwell, Now thank we all our God, Praise to the Lord, the almighty, The church’s one foundation, All glory be to God on high and thanks to him forever, Sun of Righteousness and Lord, keep us steadfast in your word

There will be parallel combined Children’s Ministry which will be led by David Hellam as well as the Children’s Ministry leader of our host congregation. Following worship, there is arrangement of Refreshments by our hosts and which will be served in the hall on the 3rd floor of Klimentska 18. It would be good time to interact and have fellowship with our hosts so please do join.

Please note that following our worship on Sunday, I will be on annual leave until 31st October 2019. But do not forget to join the Bible Study on Tuesday..

Tuesday 22nd October from 18.00 hrs. to 20.00 hrs – Bible Study in the hall on the first floor of Klimentska 18

Make every effort to join us for the Bible Study on Tuesdays based on Paul’s Epistle to the Ephesians led by David Hellam. The third one is based on God’s People (Chapter 3-5). It is an opportunity to meet new people, deepen relationships and learn from the Word of God. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & you will be buzzed in!

Remember that the clocks go BACK one hour overnight before the service on Sunday 27th October…

Sunday 27th October starting at 11.00 hrs – Harvest Service led by David Hellam

Make every effort to join the service which will be led by David Hellam. As David has already announced, please bring tinned food which will be collected during the service to be given to Salvation Army to support their ministry to homeless people in Prague. Following worship there will be Bring n Share Lunch in the hall on the third floor of Klimentska 18.

The following week we would not hold the Bible Study and will resume it again on Tuesday 5th November.

And, if I do not have internet access while on holiday, please do not forget to be there for our regular worship service on Sunday 3rd November 2019 starting at 11.00 hrs. I will again be your celebrant at this service while our preacher will be John Noonan.
