During the season of Epiphany, each Sunday we reflect on how Jesus was ‘made manifest’ or ‘shown forth’ by various events at the beginning of his public ministry. On the first Sunday of the Epiphany season, we celebrate how Jesus was ‘made manifest’ at his baptism by John the Baptist. Therefore…..

Sunday 12th January at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist celebrating the Baptism of ChristOur Gospel reading will be Matthew’s account of Jesus’ baptism as recorded in Matthew 3. 13-17.The supporting readings areIsaiah 42. 1-9 and Acts 10. 34-43.

Hymns are :- Be still, for the presence of the Lord Be still; O thou who camest from above Hereford; Come down, O Love divine Down Ampney; Songs of thankfulness and praise St. Edmund.

There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Coffee Hour, in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.
