Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

I’m very much looking forward to seeing many of you at our Burn’s Night Ceilidh this evening. In the meantime, I just have three things to highlight this week.

Sunday 26th January 2014 at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Third Sunday of Epiphany

Our Gospel reading tells of Jesus beginning his public ministry in the Galilee region and calling his first disciples, as recorded in Matthew 4. 12-23. But we also will hear some words of St. Paul as recorded in 1 Corinthians 1. 10-18, which emphasise the need for Christian unity & the importance of the cross. I’m planning on focusing on both of these readings in my sermon. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and hopefully Coffee Hour following worship. I say hopefully, as per last week’s Weekly Message, we are still looking for further volunteers to help run Coffee Hour on a regular basis.

Tuesday 28th January 18.30-20.00 in the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18

Our regular Tuesday evening Study & Fellowship Meetings continue studying the Letters of John from the New Testament. We had a most enjoyable session last Tuesday. This coming Tuesday, we shall be looking at 1 John 2. 28 – 3. 24. We will finish by saying Evening Prayer together. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!

Intercontinental Church Society (ICS) Prayer Diary Supplement for January-February 2014

For some unknown reason, our original copies of the new ICS Prayer Diary Supplement, went totally missing in the post between the UK & the Czech Republic. A replacement supply arrived at the Chaplaincy Flat yesterday & will be available in Church this coming Sunday. The front cover has a news item about Prague and is illustrated with a photograph taken by Sybille. Don’t forget to pick up your copy on Sunday morning.

Looking forward to seeing many of you this evening & on Sunday morning.

Best wishes

Ricky
