Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

Thanks to John Noonan for preaching last Sunday. We are blessed by the the uplifting sermon that came through him. Also, thanks to the people who are a part of the Bible Study that takes place on Tuesday evenings. I am glad that more people are able to join us every time. If you haven’t been able to attend till now, I encourage you to be there(more details in the following part of the message).

May I also remind those of you who intend to be on the Church Electoral Roll(CER) but have not been able to submit the form till now, please note that the deadline for form submission is 29th March 2019. As per the rules of Church of England under whose jurisdiction we come, the Electoral Roll has to be completely revised this year and this has to be done atleast fifteen days before the Annual Church Meeting (ACM) takes place which is on Sunday 14th April 2019. The best option is to come to church this coming Sunday and be in touch with our Electoral Roll Officer Sue Entzinger who will assist you to fill the form. Alternately, you can download the form from the following link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//wp-content/uploads/2013/01/ER-New.pdf and send it to me via post. This is essential for your entitlement to vote on decisions made during the ACM and to be voted for offices like Church Council member.

Now coming to this Sunday..

Sunday 24th March at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Third Sunday of Lent

Our Gospel reading, Luke 13. 1-9, is a passage unique to Luke and is a reminder to us to repent of our own sins, rather than thinking that there are people who are worse sinners than we are! The supporting readings are Isaiah 55. 1-9 where prophet encourages us to, ‘Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near’ and 1 Corinthians 10. 1-13 where Paul urges the Corinthian church to learn from the mistakes of their “ancestors” and to be faithful to God.There will be parallel Children’s Ministry, and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.

Then on Tuesday we meet for..

Tuesday 26th March from 18.30 to 20.00 – Lent Bible Study

The third session of our six-session Lent Bible Study focussing on the book of Romans 3. 21-5. 21, which talks about Justification by faith, in the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18. A simple meal will be made available making it easier for those of you who come directly from work to participate, without worrying about a meal when you get back home. I would be grateful if you could drop a line and mention any dietary restriction(s), making it easier for me to arrange. However, do not hesitate to join if you decide at the last moment. It is an opportunity to meet new people, deepen relationships and learn from the Word of God. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!
