Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

I’m back in circulation in Prague after a busy few days of travelling. In the next few days, I plan to write and publish a blog post about my day in Brussels last Wednesday – what was said and what I learned. What I will say here is that it was very tiring! Getting up at 04.00 and not getting back to the Chaplaincy Flat until midnight, not helped by my return flight being delayed by an hour :-(

But now, let me say something worship this coming Sunday and re-starting meeting on Tuesday evenings.

Sunday 22nd January at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Third Sunday of Epiphany

As well as saying Psalm 27. 1 & 5-13 responsively, we shall hear 1 Corinthians 1. 10-18 where St Paul addresses the problem of division within the Corinthian Church and declares that ‘the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God’. Our Gospel reading, Matthew 4. 12-23 tells of the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry in Galilee and the call of the first disciples.

During the service, the baptism will take place. I had the privilege of conducting name and name wedding in date and am very much looking forward to baptising their first child. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.

Tuesday 24th January 18.30-20.00 in the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18

As previously promised, our Tuesday night meetings for study & fellowship will resume next Tuesday. As no one has come up with any other suggestions, I’ve decided to return to the Psalms and look at various ones on Tuesday evenings, until the beginning of Lent. This coming Tuesday, we’ll tackle Psalm 27, part of which we will hear on Sunday morning. As previously, we will spend the last part of our time together saying Evening Prayer. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Sborový Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!

Two other things for this week
