Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

This coming Sunday is the only Sunday in the year when we have two services in St. Clement’s. So do try to be at one of them – preferably both!

Sunday 14th December at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Third Sunday of Advent
On Sunday morning, we get our second Advent dose of John the Baptist, the one who prepared the way for the coming of Jesus, following on from our first dose last Sunday. The Gospel reading is John 1. 6-8 & 19-28. The supporting readings are Isaiah 61. 1-4 & 8-9, together with  1 Thesalonians 5. 16-24. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry (for the last time in 2014) and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.

Sunday 14th December at 18.30 – A Service of Lessons and Carols

This is a wonderful service to invite your non-worshipping friends to come along to. But make sure you offer to come with them – don’t just expect them to turn up! And if you can bring along some seasonable snacks that can be shared with others, that would be greatly appreciated. Mulled wine, together with hot tea & coffee, is already sorted!

Three other things to remember on Sunday
How about bringing some tinned food &/or warm winter clothing for men & women, to help start refilling the red wheelie bins at the back of the Church & so support the work of the Salvation Army with the homeless in Prague.

Pick up a new, free leaflet, with information in English, all about events planned for 5th & 6th July 2015, marking the 600th anniversary of the martyrdom of Jan Hus. And if you didn’t do so last Sunday morning, pick up a free copy of the new winter edition of our Anglican Diocesan Magazine, ‘The European Anglican‘.

Until Sunday

Best wishes

Ricky
