Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

A big ‘Thank you’, to everyone who came to the Bible Study on Tuesday and for the service on Ash Wednesday, to mark the beginning of Lent.

Sunday 10th March at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the First Sunday of Lent

As is always the case each year, the Gospel reading for the First Sunday in Lent, tells the story of the time Jesus spent being tempted or tested, in the wilderness. Being Year C of the 3-year Lectionary Cycle of readings, we have the account found in the Gospel of Luke 4. 1-13. Our Old Testament reading will be Deuteronomy 26. 1-11, which records instructions to the people of Israel about worship and being thankful for all that God has given. We will also hear a short passage from St. Paul’s Letter to the Church in Rome –Romans 10. 8b-13. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry, and following worship Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.

Then on Tuesday we meet for..

Tuesday 12th March from 18.30 to 20.00 – Lent Bible Study

We had a good number and an amazing discussion on Prophet Malachi. From this coming Tuesday we begin our Lent Bible Study Series based on the Book of Romans. Those of you who wanted to but could not join the last Bible Study, please consider joining this one..

The first of our Lent Bible Study comprised of six sessions, focussing on Righteousness Revealed Gospel – Romans 1:1-17 will be held on Tuesday. In the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18. A simple meal will be made available making it easier for those of you who come directly from work to participate without worrying about a meal when you get back home. I would be grateful if you could drop a line and mention any dietary restriction(s), making it easier for me to arrange. However, do not hesitate to join if you decide at the last moment. It is an opportunity to meet new people, deepen relationships and learn from the Word of God. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!
