Dear Worshippers, Friends and Patrons of St. Clement’s,

I would like to start my first ‘Weekly Message’ as Chaplain by thanking everyone present last Saturday for my Appointment and Licensing Service, who sent their greetings both physically and electronically. My special thanks to all volunteers who helped during the service and with the refreshments.

It was such a joy to hear from our Old Catholic Bishop Pavel about how much he enjoyed ‘the singing’ at St. Clement’s. I hope many of you will be able to join singing the Trinitarian Hymns as well as listening to our Licensed Reader John Noonan preach this coming Sunday..

Sunday 10th June at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday after Trinity

The Gospel reading is Mark 3. 20-35 which can divided into three different accounts; Jesus was misunderstood by his family, Pharisees accused him of being possessed by the devil and Jesus’s denial of his relatives and acceptance of only those who do the will of God. The supporting readings are 1 Samuel 8. 4- 20 which tells us that Israel’s demand of a king and Samuel’s warning and 2 Corinthians 4. 13-5.1 where we find hope of life after death if we live by faith. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Cool Drinks and Refreshments at the back of the church.

Other important things..

As mentioned in the previous weekly messages, the church is organising a retreat on 5th and 6th July at Tabor J.A. Komenskeho http://www.taborbelec.cz/. We have only one space left. If you would like to attend, please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

Our Webteam has been busy working on updating the ‘newsletter’ section on the website which is why the past few sermons are unavailable. However, they will soon be up on the website.

We are currently looking for a New WEBMASTER to take care of our online presence. Minimum requirement is making sure we are legal and have renewed our permissions and licenses. You need to update the website atleast twice a week by uploading past messages, forthcoming events etc. If you are interested do let Gordon, Stephen or anyone on the church council know or reply to this message.

Celebratory Prayer for birthdays and wedding anniversaries or any other such occasion is a part of our regular service. You are invited to send to me the details of your birthday or any special occasion for which you would like us to pray, by email to this address.

Yours in His Service,

Nathanial
