Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

It was wonderful to see so many of you last Sunday despite several travel disruptions and to hear the Lord’s Prayer in so many different languages and have lunch fellowship later. My special thanks to our organist and all Czech speaking friends who led us in singing the Czech National Anthem and to everyone who helped us organize. Now coming to this week, please read the entire message carefully as it contains a lot of important information..

The Gospel reading is John 11. 32-44 in which Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead and the supporting readings are Isaiah 25. 6-9 where the text introduces Isaiah’s vision—that of a great banquet hosted by Yahweh, the Lord of hosts and this banquet also marked the people’s transition from death to life and Revelation 21. 1-6a where the text promises of newness — a “new heaven and new earth” and also gives a radiant image of resurrection and renewal.
