Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,
Please read this message carefully as it contains a lot of important information..
A reminder to those of you who haven’t yet submitted the membership form and intend to be on the Church Electoral Roll(CER). Tomorrow i.e. 29th March 2019 is the last date to do so. You can download the form from the following link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//wp-content/uploads/2013/01/ER-New.pdf and send a scanned copy to me via email. This is essential for your entitlement to vote on decisions made during the ACM and to be voted for offices like Church Council member.
Now coming to this Sunday..
Sunday 31st March at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Fourth Sunday of Lent
We will be joined by The International Baptist Church of Prague‘s Pastor Gareth Morris and the congregation as their space is being used for BJB Youth Weekend. I encourage you to be present for this special service to worship the Lord together with our brothers and sisters in faith.
Our Gospel reading on Sunday is probably one of the most well-known parables of Jesus –the Prodigal Son: Luke 15. 1-3 & 11b-32. The supporting readings will be 2 Corinthians 5. 16-21, which also has an important message regarding reconciliation, together with Psalm 32 which we will say responsively. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry, and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18. Since we will have a number of guests this Sunday, if possible could you please get some sweet or savory snacks. After the Coffee Hour the Church Council Meeting will be held.
Then we meet on Tuesday for…
Tuesday 2nd April from 18.30 to 20.00 – Lent Bible Study
The fourth session of our six-session Lent Bible Study focussing on the book of Romans will be held in the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18. The theme for this Tuesday is Righteousness Attained focussing on Sanctification given in Romans chapter 6 to 8.
A simple meal will be made available making it easier for those of you who come directly from work to participate, without worrying about a meal when you get back home. I would be grateful if you could drop a line and mention any dietary restriction(s), making it easier for me to arrange. However, do not hesitate to join if you decide at the last moment. It is an opportunity to meet new people, deepen relationships and learn from the Word of God. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!
Other important things…
My sermon from last Sunday is available to read on the church website on the following link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//24th-march-2019-the-third-sunday-of-lent-revd-nathanial/.

Tinned food & clothing supporting the work of the Salvation Army with the homeless: I am aware that the clothing wheelie bin is all but full and that there are a reasonable supply of tins in the other wheelie bin. I will be in touch with Salvation Armyto arrange the collection of the contents of both bins, sometime next week. But in the meantime, how about a few more tins for the bin this Sunday?
Bishop’s Lent appeal to support the mental health and livelihoods of vulnerable in Grece is pinned on the noticeboard and the collection box is placed at the back of the church.
If it was/is your birthday or wedding anniversary or any other special occasion last week or the coming week, we would be happy to share your joy and pray for you. You are invited to send to me the details by email to this address.
A highly important reminder that on Saturday night, the clocks go FORWARD one hour! Don’t be late getting to Church & arrive in time only for the Blessing.
Yours in His Service,
Nathanial
