Sunday 28th October starting at 11.00 –Sung Eucharist for the Last Sunday after Trinity
Like last year, we will observe this day as International Sunday to celebrate our cultural diversity and unity in Christ. It is also the Independent Czechoslovak State Day. I hope many of you are able to join us on this special occassion when we specially thank God for bringing us together in the Czech Republic to praise His name. The Gospel reading is Mark 10. 46-52 which focuses on Jesus’ identity and mission, and blind Bartimaeus functions in the narrative as someone who truly “sees” Jesus and the supporting readings are Job 42. 1-6, 10-17 where we read the final chapter of the book and find out what becomes of Job in the end and Hebrews 7. 23-28 where the author once again compares the priesthood of Jesus Christ with other priests, but in this instance the author focuses upon Christ’s superiority in the multiple dimensions of Christ’s perfection.
There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship Bring n Share in the hall on the third floor of Klimentska 18. Make your favourite cuisine and bring enough for your family + 1 extra. This is an opportunity to invite your friends who do not normally come to church. Make sure you offer to come with someone.
