Dear Worshippers, Friends and Patrons of St. Clement’s,

Do join us for worship this coming Sunday..

Sunday 26th August starting at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for The Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity

The Gospel reading is John 6. 56-69 where Jesus goes on to interpret about himself as the ”bread of life” but the disciples declare this to be a ‘difficult teaching’ and we also read Peter’s confession of Jesus as the Holy one of God. The supporting readings are 1 Kings 8. 22-30, 41-43 which contains King Solomon’s prayer at the dedication of the Jerusalem Temple and Ephesians 6. 10-20 where Paul talks about the spiritual warfare and tells his readers to put on the whole armour of God. During worship, the Baptism of a baby girl will take place.
Following worship, Cool Drinks and Light Refreshments will be served at the back of the church.

Other important things..

Please note that I will be on leave from Monday 27th August to Thursday 30th August (both inclusive). Incase of urgency during this period you can contact me on the chaplaincy mobile or contact the churchwardens.

The church is organizing a walk in the Czech Switzerland on Saturday 1st September. Our former chaplain Rev’d Ricky Yates, who lives in that region has kindly consented to lead the walk. If you are interested please contact Churchwarden Gordon Truefitt gordontruefitt@yahoo.co.uk who is now coordinating the walk as Angela may not be in Prague by then due to her personal work impending in UK. You can find more information about the walk by following the link http://rickyyates.com/a-walk-above-kanon-labe/.

We are currently looking for a New WEBMASTER to take care of our online presence. Minimum requirement is making sure we are legal and have renewed our permissions and licenses. You need to update the website atleast twice a week by uploading past messages, forthcoming events etc. If you are interested do let Gordon, Stephen or anyone on the church council know or reply to this message.

Celebratory Prayer for birthdays and wedding anniversaries or any other such occasion is a part of our regular service. You are invited to send to me the details of your birthday or any special occasion for which you would like us to pray, by email to this address.
