Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

Welcome to all the new subscribers on our mailing list. I hope many of you can join us this coming Sunday, with the weather getting better..

Sunday 24th February at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday before Lent

The theme of our readings this coming Sunday is God in creation. We shall hear part of the creation narrative from Genesis 2. 4b-9 & 15-25, a description of worship in heaven to the one who ‘created all things’ as recorded in Revelation 4. 1-11, & the story of Jesus stilling the storm from Luke 8. 22-25.

There will be parallel Children’s Ministry, and following worship, Refreshments at the back of the church as the hall where we usually have Coffee Hour will be undergoing reconstruction and will be unavailable for the coming two Sundays.

Tuesday 27th February from 18.30 to 20.00 – Pre-Lent Bible Study

In the hall on the first floor of Klimentska 18, we meet this coming Tuesday for Bible Study on Prophet Hosea. There will be arrangement of simple meal making it easier for those of you who come directly from work to attend without worrying about meal when you get back home. I would be grateful if you could leave a line making it easier for me to arrange and if you could also mention any dietary restriction(s). However, do not hesitate to join if you decide at the last moment. It is an opportunity to meet new people, deepen relationships and talk about your faith. If the door of the main building is locked, press the bell marked Sborový Kancelářand we will buzz you in!

Other important things..

My sermon from last Sunday is available to read on the church website on the following link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//17th-february-2019-third-sunday-before-lent-revd-nathanial/.

Church Electoral Roll – A big thank you to all those who have already given their forms for being on the chaplaincy’s electoral roll. May I remind others that the rules that govern the Church of England, under whose jurisdiction we come, once every six years, our Church Electoral Roll has to be completely revised and current members who want to remain on it, all need to re-apply, together with new people who are now eligible to join. The membership forms are available at the back of the church and also for download on the church website by following the link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//wp-content/uploads/2013/01/ER-New.pdf and either hand it over to Chaplaincy’s Electoral Roll Officer – Sue Entzinger or send it via post to my address latest by 29th March 2019 as the final electoral roll has to be completed atleast fifteen days before the Annual Church Meeting which will be held on Sunday 14th April 2019 after our worship service.

A few people from the congregation discussed with me the possibility of having a Messy Church and in the last council meeting we talked about the same. The good news is that David Hellam is working on organizing it. As soon as everything is confirmed I will update you. In the meantime, it would it worth sharing it with those who may be interested in this especially those who for any reason find it difficult to attend our regular church service.

We are still collecting tinned food & warm winter clothing to help the Salvation Army in their work with the homeless in Prague. Please bring your contributions & place them in the correct wheelie bin at the back of Church on Sunday.

If it was/is your birthday or wedding anniversary or any other special occasion last week or the coming week, we would be happy to share your joy and pray for you. You are invited to send to me the details by email to this address.

Yours in His Service,

Nathanial
