The Gospel reading is Mark 6. 30-34, 53-56, verses 30-34 are the introduction to the “Feeding of the Five Thousand”and verses 53-56 provide a brief account of Jesus’ healing ministry. The supporting readings are 2 Samuel 7. 1-14a where we read the Lord’s covenant with David and Ephesians 2. 11-22 where Paul focuses on the reconciliation of Jew and Gentile, which falls within God’s bigger move of reconciling humanity from sin and death to life. There will be no parallel Children’s Ministry till Sunday 19th August however play area will be available for kids at the back of the church. Following worship, Cool Drinks and Light Refreshments will be served at the back of the church.

The church council members and some of the volunteers have recently completed Safeguarding Training – Level 2 which was held here in Prague under the leadership of the Diocesan Safeguarding Trainer and our Chaplaincy Safeguarding Officer. If you would like to know more about it or if you have any concern of safeguarding nature you wish to report, however small, please get in touch with the Safeguarding Officer Alison Hellam and/or the churchwardens Gordon Truefitt and/or Stephen Weeks.
Due to the fact that there are some specific requirements from the Diocese that need to be met before a choir is formed and starts practicing, the formation of our choir and practice sessions must be postponed until those requirements are fulfilled.
The Charter Choir of Homerton College, University of Cambridge will sing at various churches in Prague in the last week of July. There is a Concert on Friday 27th at Sv. Vavrinec (the Old Catholic Cathedral on the top of Petrin hill near the tower) and Evensong at St. Clement’s on Sunday 29th July at 18.00. The entry is free, no tickets are required.
We are currently looking for a New Webmaster to take care of our online presence. Minimum requirement is making sure we are legal and have renewed our permissions and licenses. You need to update the website atleast twice a week by uploading past messages, forthcoming events etc. If you are interested do let Gordon, Stephen or anyone on the church council know or reply to this message.
