Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,
Do join us..
Sunday 17th March at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday of Lent
Our Old Testament reading will be Genesis 15. 1-12 & 17-18 in which God speaks to Abraham, (at this point, still called Abram), in a vision, promising him that his descendants will be as numerous as the stars in the heavens. We shall also say Psalm 27 responsively, declaring that, ‘The Lord is my light and my salvation’. Our Gospel reading will be Luke 13. 31-35 where Jesus both speaks of being killed in Jerusalem, as well as expressing his desire to, ‘…gather your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings’. Our preacher on Sunday will be Licensed Reader, John Noonan. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry, and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.
Then on Tuesday we meet for..
Tuesday 19th March from 18.30 to 20.00 – Lent Bible Study
The second session of our six-session Lent Bible Study focussing on the book of Romans, the Righteousness Obsolete; sin – Romans 1. 18-3.20. In the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18. A simple meal will be made available making it easier for those of you who come directly from work to participate without worrying about a meal when you get back home. I would be grateful if you could drop a line and mention any dietary restriction(s), making it easier for me to arrange. However, do not hesitate to join if you decide at the last moment. It is an opportunity to meet new people, deepen relationships and learn from the Word of God. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!
