Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,

There is plenty going on at St. Clement’s in the coming days, so here is a reminder about what is happening with some additional details.

Join us this coming Sunday..

Sunday 15th September at 11.00 hrs.– Sung Eucharist for the Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity

Luke 15. 1-10 is our Gospel reading which records two of the most loved parables of Jesus –the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin. The supporting readings are Exodus 32. 7-14 where Moses pleads with God for not to destroy the Israelites who had rebelled against God and were worshipping a golden calf and 1 Timothy 1. 12-17 where St. Paul speaks of the grace of God and the salvation through Jesus Christ.

Hymns are: Amazing grace Amazing grace; Immortal, invisible, God only wise St. Denio; O thou, who at thy Eucharist didst pray Song 1 and Go forth and tell! Woodlands (631)

There will be parallel Children’s Ministry. Following worship, there will be Picnic in Lannova park. Bring a lunch (enough for yourself/your family and one portion extra) and join the picnic. Expect lots of food, drinks and laughter with others from the congregation. Family and friends are welcome.

Other important things..

Thanks to David Hellam, my sermon from last Sunday is now available to listen on the church website. The link is http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//8th-september-2019-the-twelfth-sunday-after-trinity-revd-nathanial/.

Please note that Gordon & I will be in Budapest from Friday 19th September 2019 to Sunday 22nd September 2019 for attending the Archdeaconry Synod. Our Reader John Noonan will lead the morning prayer on Sunday 22nd September. During this time if there is any urgent pastoral concern either call me or please contact Churchwarden Stephen Weeks.

“A big THANK YOU” to Robert Anderson for taking the responsibility of Chaplaincy’s Safeguarding Officer in the last Council Meeting. Thus, if you have any Safeguarding Concerns, please do get in touch with him. His contact details are available on the link http://susanaj10.sg-host.com//about-us/who-is-who/

Tinned food & clothing supporting the work of the Salvation Army with the homeless: I am aware that the clothing wheelie bin is all but full and that there are a reasonable supply of tins in the other wheelie bin. I will be in touch with Salvation Army to arrange the collection of the contents of both bins, sometime next week. But in the meantime, how about a few more tins for the bin this Sunday?

Copies of the ICS News & Prayer Diary, for the month of September 2019 will be available free at the back of Church.

If it was/is your birthday or wedding anniversary or any other special occasion last week or the coming week, we would be happy to share your joy and pray for you. You are invited to send to me the details by email to this address.

Yours in His Service,

Nathanial
