Visit of Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall – Sunday 21st March 2010

As part of their four day visit to the Czech Republic, Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall attending Morning Worship at St. Clement’s Anglican Episcopal Church, Prague on Sunday 21st March 2010. Fortunately, due to a considerable amount of detailed advanced planning, the service was a great occasion and much enjoyed by all who were in attendance.

There were a large number of press photographers in attendance as the Royal Couple arrived at the Church, accompanied by the British Ambassador Sian MacLeod and her husband Richard Robinson. They were greeted by the Chaplain and by Churchwarden Gerry Turner. Little Elise Ollmann, better known by her nickname ‘Pixel’, presented the Duchess with a posy of daffodils.

Being the Fifth Sunday of Lent and the beginning of Passiontide, the hymns, readings and prayers focussed on the Passion of Christ as we prepare to mark once again, the Events of Holy Week and Easter. Below are some photographs taken by the webmaster of the arrival of the Royal Couple at the Church and which feature some of those who helped make the whole service run very smoothly.
