Finances

St Clement’s aims to become financially self-sufficient, but in recent years it has been incredibly grateful to the Intercontinental Church Society for grants enabling it to have the services of a fulltime chaplain. In January 2006, the Church took out a 20 year mortgage to enable the purchase of a flat to house our Chaplain and secure the long term future of the Church.

Details of our bank account to enable you to make a donation or set up a regular standing order are as follows.

Volksbank CZ a.s.
Na Pankraci 1724/129
140 00 Praha 4
Account number: 4030019472/6800
IBAN number: CZ85 6800 0000 0040 3001 9472

All international cheques should be made out to “Diocese in Europe” and include a note that they are meant for St. Clement’s Prague. This makes the clearing of cheques faster, and therefore donations made to St Clements in this way are sent to the Diocese in Europe offices in London, who bank the cheques on behalf of St Clements and credit the Prague account held there. Cheques made out in this way can be placed in the collection baskets or handed to one of the church officials.

If you have a sterling account a cheque can be sent to our London account via The Finance Officer, The Diocese in Europe, 14 Tufton Street, London SW1P 3QZ. Please indicate that it is for the Prague account.

If you have a US$ account and would like a tax refund then contact The Treasurer, The Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society/PECUSA, 815 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10017-4594. In a covering letter you need to say that as a preference, though not as a condition, you wish your gift to be used for the program of St Clement’s Anglican Episcopal Church, Prague and refer to the Diocese in Europe address above.
