Dear Worshippers and Friends of St. Clement’s,
My sincere thanks to all who traveled to Brno last Sunday for our monthly service there. The Brno congregation members warmly welcomed each one us and we had a wonderful time together. Now join us this coming week…
Sunday 9th December starting at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday of Advent
The Gospel reading is Luke 3. 1-6 where we read about John the Baptist’s preparation of the way for the coming Messiah. The supporting readings are Malachi 3. 1-4 in which the prophet writes about the coming messenger and the Canticle Benedictus Luke 1:68-79 which is a song of Zechariah to God who is faithful to His promises. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry.
Following worship service,Pre-Christmas Celebration jointly organized by the Youth and the Children’s Ministry and Bring n Share Lunch will be held in the hall on the third floor of Klimentska 18. The young people and children have been practising for this special event so do not forget to join and if you would like to sing a carol or anything special related to Christmas get in touch with me.
I would like to particularly convey to the students, the young people and to all who for any reason find it difficult to bring food, we always have enough food for everyone so do not hesitate to join us. We value your presence more than anything else.
Tuesday 11th December from 18.00 to 20.00 – Advent Meditation
The Last Advent Meditation will be held this coming Tuesday to which you are very welcome and the theme is ‘The bread of life’.David Hellam will be leading us in the reflection and then in making seasonal sweets. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Sborový Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!
Friday 14th December starting at 18.00 – ‘People in Need’ Carols

Sunday 16th December starting at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Third Sunday of Advent

Sunday 16th December starting at 18.30 – Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
I look forward to seeing many of you for this special service. Your family and friends are welcome to join. There will be seasonal refreshments after the service.

On Monday 17th December early in the evening(from 16.30 onwards) we will be Carolling around the Town starting from the British Embassy and ending at the Cafe Louvre where people can finally have a drink or meal together. We are looking for people who would like to share the good news with others in Prague. If you are interested get in touch with me.
On Monday 24th December starting at 23.30 there will be Midnight Eucharist for Christmas and on Tuesday 25th December starting at 11.00 there will be our main Christmas service.
A pack of ten Christmas Cards along with envelopes, will again, be available at the back of the church in return for a donation of 200 CZK. This year we have as many as three different designs available. Consider buying these special cards which you will find are lovely to send to your people near and far.
