Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

Two quick things to tell you first of all, before I get on to writing about this coming Sunday and the week that follows. Firstly, don’t forget that tonight……

Thursday 5th November – 19:00 chez Hellam, Namesti Interbrigady 949/3, Bubenec,
between the Lotyšská and Zelená tram stops, our Alpha Course continues. It includes dinner for everyone, so if you’re planning to come tell David ASAP, david(at)hellam(dot)net or 722 223 097

Secondly, my sermon from our celebration of All Saints Day last Sunday, is now available to listen to on our Church website. Just follow this link:

Then on Sunday…..

Sunday 8th November at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Third Sunday before Advent
Our readings will be the responsive Psalm – Psalm 62. 5-12, together with a further section of the Letter to the Hebrews – Hebrews 9. 24-28. The Gospel reading is the call of the first disciples as recorded in Mark 1. 14-20. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18. We will once more have Remembrance poppies available on Sunday as the day is also Remembrance Sunday, being the nearest Sunday to 11th November.

There will NOT be a meeting for Study and Fellowship on Tuesday 10th November as I and one or two others, will be attending a consular event at the British Embassy & I don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of making St. Clement’s more widely known amongst the British expat community living in Prague. The next meeting will be on Tuesday 17th November.

Thursday 12th November – 19:00 chez Hellam, Namesti Interbrigady 949/3, Bubenec,
between the Lotyšská and Zelená tram stops, our Alpha Course will continue. It includes dinner for everyone, so if you’re planning to come tell David, david(at)hellam(dot)net or 722 223 097

Sunday 15th November at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday before Advent
Over the weekend of 14th-15th November, our new Archdeacon, Ven. Colin Williams will be making his first visit to Prague and will be our Preacher at our 11.00 Eucharist. He will also be meeting with your Churchwardens and Church Council, to start planning for future ministry in Prague & the wider Czech Republic, after my retirement in the Spring of 2017. Your prayers for his visit would be very much appreciated.

One further advance date for you. Our traditional Service of Lessons & Carols for Christmas will be held on Sunday 13th December at 18.00. Put the date in your diaries now and start thinking of which irregular or non-worshipping friends you are going to invite to join you at this service.

Best wishes

Ricky
