Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

As I wrote last week, I wasn’t planning on sending out a ‘Weekly Message’ this week, as I’m meant to be on annual leave. However, when both the Churchwarden & my wife suggest that I do so :-) , here is a quick reminder of what is happening this coming Sunday.

Sunday 7th December at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday of Advent
We look forward to welcoming our Old Catholic Bishop Dušan Hejbal as our Celebrant & Preacher. Our Bible readings will be Isaiah 40. 1-11, 2 Peter 3. 8-15 and Mark 1. 1-8. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18. At Coffee Hour, there will be Bake Sale in support of the Advent Appeal of our Anglican Bishop Robert Innes, to raise funds for the Sant’Egidio Programme for asylum seekers arriving in Sicily. As well as supporting the Bake Sale, if you would like to make a donation to the Advent Appeal, there are designated envelopes for doing so, attached to the noticeboard at the back of Church, alongside a copy of the Appeal letter.

Sunday 7th December at 16.00 – Ecumenical Family Carols

Gordon Truefitt tells me that the organisers have got everything covered but, ‘donations of M&S mince pies or the like would not go amiss’. Gordon will also be ‘in charge’ as I will be heading down the D1 to Brno for:

Sunday 7th December at 17.00 in Brno

Until Sunday, when I’m properly back ‘on duty’

Best wishes
