Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

This week’s ‘Weekly’ needs to be very short as my Friday afternoon is disappearing fast. Therefore……

To say ‘Thank You’…….

……. to everybody who attended & contributed to last Sunday’s Annual Church Meeting. I was particularly pleased that we had a much better attendance than in 2012. Your new Church Council is; Churchwardens: Richard York & Gordon Truefitt. Other Church Council members: David Hellam, Angela Hitchen, Larry Leifeste, Matthew Moistner, Jack Noonan, Nia Voase. If anyone who could not attend would like to have copies of the 2012 accounts & the other papers given out at the meeting, there will be spare copies available at the back of Church this coming Sunday.

Five Reminders……

……..that at our 11.00 Sung Eucharist this coming Sunday 28th April, our preacher will be Jack Noonan. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and Coffee Hour following the service.

……..that if you haven’t yet responded to our Church Treasurer’s recent letter to all members of the Church Electoral Roll, please, if possible, bring your response to Church this Sunday or send it by email to gordontruefitt(at)yahoo.co.uk

……..that I am away attending the annual ICS Chaplains Conference next week. I will be absent from Prague from early on Monday 29th April – late on Friday 3rd May. However, on the assumption that the conference centre wifi network is working, and that I am not charged an arm & a leg for using it, (the conference is being held in Switzerland :-)  ), I should still be contactable by email.

……..because I am away, there will not be a Study Group Meeting on Tuesday evening, 30th April.

……..that our service on Sunday 5th May at 11.00 will be our annual bilingual Joint Eucharist with the Czech Old Catholic Church, and it is our turn to go to their Cathedral Church of St. Lawrence on Petřín Hill. More details on Sunday & in next week’s ‘Weekly’ but please plan to be there. Petřín Hill is absolutely beautiful at this time of year and as they always very kindly do, the Old Catholics are laying on refreshments following the service.

One advert……

`Městská` – the band that played for our Ceilidhs – has a concert on Wednesday 15th May – 20:00h – at Mandragora, Korunni 16, Prague 2 – Vinohrady; which is a rather nice venue. A good opportunity to check them both out. Visit here and here to find out more.

Best wishes,

Ricky
