Dear Worshippers, Friends and Patrons of St. Clement’s,

Read the weekly message carefully as it contains important information and do join us this coming Sunday..

Sunday 22nd April at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Fourth Sunday of Easter

The Gospel reading will be John 10. 11-18 which covers one of the seven ‘I am’ sayings of Jesus recorded in John’s Gospel where Jesus says; ‘I am the good Shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep’. The supporting readings will be Acts 4. 5-12, which tells us Peter testifying of Jesus’ death and resurrection and 1 John 3. 16-24 where John writes about the Love of God and the needs of our neighbour. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Cool Drinks and Refreshments at the back of the church.

Following worship.. The Annual Church Meeting (ACM) will be held. To stand for election and/or to vote at the ACM, you must be one of the 71 people on the Church Electoral Roll (CER), a copy of which is pinned to the noticeboard at the back of the Church. Nominations for election to the Church Council can be made on the form also pinned to the Church noticeboard. They require a proposer, seconder & the consent of the candidate and must be made in advance of the commencement of the ACM.
At the ACM, the Interim Chaplain, Churchwardens, Church Council Secretary and Archdeaconry Synod Representative will report on their activities during the past year and the Church Treasurer will present the financial report. It is also the opportunity for any member of the CER, to ask questions about any aspect of Church life at St. Clement’s. If you are a member of the CER, do not miss it!
