Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,
Today is 1st July and during this month and in August, St. Clement’s goes into ‘summer mode‘ whilst so many of you are away from Prague, visiting family and friends or travelling to visit new places. What this means I’ll explain very shortly. But the first thing to say is that this is a ‘Monthly Message‘ for July and not a ‘Weekly Message’. Later this month, I’ll be writing again regarding what is or isn’t happening in August.
Therefore during July, there will be…..
Sung Eucharist at 11.00 on each of the first four Sundays of the month – 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th July
Following worship each Sunday, there will be Cool Drinks & Light Refreshments served at the back of the Church. However, there will be NO parallel Children’s Ministry. Children are obviously still most welcome to attend & the ‘rug-rats’ area for younger ones will be available as usual, at the back of the Church. Additionally, as this coming Sunday 3rd July, is the first Sunday of the month, there will also be the regular monthly service of Holy Communion in ‘The Upper Room’, corner of Jezuitská and Mozartova, Brno, starting at 17.00. I will also be officiating at the monthly English-language Anglican Service of Evening Prayer, in the Frauenkirche, Dresden at 18.00 on Sunday 17th July.
On Sunday 31st July at 11.00, there will be a service of Morning Prayer with Jack Noonan leading & preaching, as I will be in the UK from late on Wednesday 27th July until the early hours of Monday 1st August, hoping to obtain a new British passport and officiating at my son Phillip’s wedding in Nottingham on Saturday 30th July.
Two other things to tell you…..
The new ICS News and Prayer Diary for July-October, should be available in Church this coming Sunday. I say ‘should be’, because I haven’t yet collected the parcel from my local post office :-) But I’m planning on doing so later today.
