Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

We had an excellent congregation for worship last Sunday morning with plenty of ‘regulars’, together with a number of international visitors. So please do plan to join us again this coming Sunday.

Sunday 17th November at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday before Advent

Our Bible readings will be Psalm 98, our third & final reading from Paul’s second letter to the Church at Thessalonika – 2 Thessalonians 3. 6-13, and Luke 21. 5-19. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry. Unfortunately, rather than Coffee Hour, this Sunday we have to serve Cool Drinks & Light Refreshments at the back of Church. This is because our host congregation want the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18 for a congregational lunch. It is one of the down sides of not owning our own buildings!

Tuesday 19th November 18.30-20.00 in the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18

Our Study & Fellowship Meetings continue looking at the Letter of James. Because we eventually didn’t meet last Tuesday, we are going to study James 3. 1 – 4.12 this coming Tuesday & have our final study on Tuesday 26th November, looking at James 4. 13 – 5. 20. We’ll finish our time together by saying Evening Prayer.

Sunday 24th November at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Sunday next before Advent – Christ the King

For the last Sunday of the Christian and Church Year, our preacher will be Rev’d Dr Karen Moritz.

Looking further ahead……

The new Church Year starts with Advent Sunday, which in 2013, actually falls on the date manufacturers of Advent Calenders think it does every year :-) – Sunday 1st December. The details of all our events and services for Advent and Christmas through to the first Sunday of 2014, are now on our Church website. Just click on this link . Note the dates and start thinking now as to who you could invite to come with you, especially to one of the Carol Services.

May I remind you of my two requests for help from last week’s ‘Weekly’

Two requests for help

We need to lay on appropriate seasonal refreshments in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18, following the services on the afternoon of Saturday 7th and in the evening on Sunday 15th. I would love to hear now, from anyone willing to help on either occasion.

I would also like to have some company for the Brno Carol Service on the evening of Sunday 8th. I shall driving down after worship at St. Clement’s in the morning & should have you back in Prague for around 22.30 in the evening. There is room for up to four other people besides me.

So far, I’ve had one volunteer to come to Brno, but no other responses! If you can help, please speak with me on Sunday or send me an email.

Don’t forget the Salvation Army bins and looking forward to seeing many of you on Sunday.

Best wishes

Ricky
