Dear People & Friends of St. Clement’s,

I hope that many of you will join us for worship this coming Sunday, particularly as we will have four special visitors.

Sunday 16th November at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Second Sunday before Advent
On Sunday, we will welcome as our preacher, Rev’d Barry Letson, a long-standing friend of mine from university days, together with his wife Sue. Barry is originally from Northern Ireland but is currently the Rector of Crickhowell in South Wales. Our Bible readings will be Psalm 90. 1-12, together with 1 Thessalonians 5. 1-11, whilst our Gospel reading will be Matthew 25. 14-30. The observant ones amongst you will notice that these last two readings follow on immediately from the passages we heard read last Sunday!

We will also welcome two volunteers from the Taizé Community, Uli & Veronika, who will speak for a few minutes about the forthcoming annual Taizé European Meeting of Young Adults which is to take place in Prague between 29th December 2014 – 2nd January 2015. There are already details about this, in English, on our noticeboard at the back of Church.

There will be parallel Children’s Ministry and following worship, Coffee Hour in the hall on the third floor of Klimentská 18.

Tuesday 18th November 18.30-20.00 in the small meeting room on the first floor of Klimentská 18
The third in a new study series entitled Difficult Parables. This week we will look at the parable of the shrewd manager as recorded in Luke 16. 1-15. What was Jesus trying to say? I’d welcome your ideas & not just mine! As we usually do, we’ll end our session by saying Evening Prayer together. If the ground floor door of Klimentská 18 is locked, press the bell marked Kancelář & we’ll buzz you in!

Christmas is coming………
……..and on the afternoon of Sunday 7th December at 16.00, we will be hosting Ecumenical Family Carols at St. Clement’s, as we have the past three years. Celieta Leifeste is putting together a choir to lead the singing. If you would like to be part of that choir, please email Celieta, cjleifeste(at)gmail(dot)com . There will be a choir rehearsal on the day in advance of the event & possibly an earlier practice on Sunday 30th November. More details to follow in due course.

Our traditional Service of Lessons and Carols will take place on the evening of Sunday 14th December starting at 18.30. Again more details to follow but please note the date in your diaries now!
