13th October 2017

Dear Worshippers, Friends and Patrons of St. Clement’s,

I want to start this week’s Weekly Message by saying a ‘Thank you!’ to everyone who stood besides us in the difficult time. Your prayers, messages, care and concern in everyway has made us feel, yet again, how blessed we are to be a part of St. Clement’s church family. I extend my gratitude to the Churchwardens and Church Council for their support, David Hellam for the service last Sunday and to all who helped Aditi and the babies while I was away, especially Gismunde. I am back now and available for anything of pastoral concern.

Now coming to this Sunday..

Sunday 15th October at 11.00 – Sung Eucharist for the Eighteenth Sunday after Trinity

The Gospel reading is Matthew 22:1-14 whilst the supporting readings are Exodus 32:1-14 and Philippians 4:1-9. Our preacher will be Licensed Reader Jack Noonan. There will be parallel Children’s Ministry.

Following worship, Cool Drinks and Refreshments will be served. The hall on the third floor of Klimentska 18 will not be available for coffee hour this Sunday because our host congregation will having the ‘Welcome’ of their new pastor Rev’d David Balcar there.

Other important things…

David and the church council would like to give a sincere ‘Thanks’ to everyone who contributed to making last Sunday’s Bring and Share Lunch such a success following the Harvest Service. We look forward to another shared lunch on 29th October with an international flavour!

The next installment in our Bible Study series ‘What on Earth is the Church For? will not take place next week. The series will recommence on Tuesday 24th October with Session 4: ‘Water and Wine’ where we will be looking at the role of sacraments in the life of the church.

First International Sunday – October 29th. Make a note now not to miss our first International Sunday followed by International Lunch. More details later.

As a part of the Environment Project, Angela organized Bear Walk to Beroun last Saturday in which a good number of people participated. If you would like to know their experience or are interested in discussing more about this project, please get in touch with her.

Celebratory Prayer for birthdays and wedding anniversaries or any other such occasion is now a part of our regular service. You are invited to send to me the details of your birthday or any special occasion for which you would like us to pray, by email to this address.
